Course Description

Credit Validation for Museum of Tolerance Workshop Participants Only

Stories have the power to transform the way young people see themselves and others. Set in the experiential Museum of Tolerance, this special workshop uses Red Scarf Girl, the Diary of Anne Frank and Wonder, as well as other literary resources to examine ways to engage youth in thinking about identity, analyzing adolescent choices, and reflecting on the impact of history on individuals.

Number of Units: 1.0 graduate level extension credit(s) in semester hours

Who Should Attend: This course is designed for Pre K-12 educators, Teacher Candidates, Administrators, Specialists and Classified Staff. Course credit may be used for salary advancement and/or professional development. Please contact your district/school for prior approval.

Location: Museum of Tolerance, 9786 W. Pico Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90035

Course Format: Workshop

Grading: Pass/Fail grades will be issued upon successful completion of program.
